About Us

Mia Bella is a labor of love created to honor the resilience of a child’s mind, body, and heart. This school is a Reggio Emilia philosophy discovery center. Morgan and Laura Kinkton opened this school to help in the healing of Alli Jane and Levi after the tragic loss of their father, Dakota, a US Navy sailor. They were only 1 and 3 when their worlds were forever changed. After his death, Morgan (his wife) and Laura (his mother) put their hearts together to create a school that would provide children with a safe place to explore and grow.
